Cost Estimation, Cost Analysis, and Reporting

In this article, you will learn how to use Cosuno for cost controling of your projects.

Updated over a year ago

Cosuno provides you with the opportunity to maintain transparency over costs in all stages of the construction project.

1. Cost Estimation

You can create the initial cost estimate for the entire project based on your preferred cost breakdown. This cost estimate allows you to compare your planned costs with the actual costs at later stages of the project.

2. BoQ Calculation

Once your project plans become more concrete, you can create your Bill of Quantities and assign a cost category to each position. If you also calculate your BoQ positions, Cosuno will automatically generate the BoQ calculation. Please, check the Cost Analysis to view the results.

3. Comparison of submitted Bids

After the bidders have submitted their bids, you can view them in the Price Comparison Table and compare them with the prices you calculated in your BoQ. If necessary, you can also simulate new bids in the Price Comparison Table.

4. Awarded Bids

You can also mark the bids as a proposal for awarding and finally award them via Cosuno. Once this is done, the awarded bid will be displayed in your Cost Analysis.

5. Addenda

During the construction phase, occasional changes may be necessary. If this is the case, you can manage your addenda on Cosuno. The approved addenda will be displayed in the Cost Analysis, allowing you to view the current status of the project costs at any time.
