This is how you sign a legally secure contract via Cosuno

Updated over a week ago

If the tendering company finally awards a bid package to you, it has the option of concluding a corresponding contract with you directly via Cosuno. You will be notified of this by email. You can then access the contract in Cosuno and sign the contract online.

1. View contract documents

You will receive all contract-relevant documents attached to the e-mail. If you click on "Sign the contract here", the contracted bid overview with the contract, order details and comments from the company issuing the tender will open.

Alternatively, you can access contract-relevant documents at any time in your Cosuno account under "Contracted Bids" by selecting the respective bid package in the overview.

You can identify documents to be signed by the marking "Signature required" on the right-hand side.

2. Sign contract online

Edit contract

Once you click the Sign-button, you will be automatically redirected to DocuSign.

To get to the places in the document to be filled out, click on the Start-button on the left side. Now fill in the text, signature and initials simply by clicking on the respective field.

Change signature

To customize your signature or initials, click on a signature field and choose Modify. This opens the following window:

Here you can now adapt your signature, if necessary draw or upload a signature yourself.

Finish the process

When all fields have been filled in, click Finish on the right side of the top blue bar.

3. Alternative: Print out the contract and sign it by hand

Alternatively, you can also download documents and sign them by hand.

However, we advise against this, since it is then no longer possible for the tendering company to digitally sign the contract and this creates additional effort on both sides.

To download a document and upload it again after signing it by hand, go to the three-point menu of the respective document.
